THE DUBLIN WRITERS’ CONFERENCE

If you are new to writing or an old hand, and interested in how writers can improve their craft, self publish successfully, and undertake the marketing necessary for any author to achieve success, this conference is for you.

You can come to Dublin and be part of our live event, the only writers conference in Dublin, or watch online from anywhere in the world, live or through recordings, before, during and after the live event.

This unique online option provides those who cannot come in person with a chance to experience the conference.

Our unique networking option will allow all who sign up to network with online only and live attendees through a private Facebook group.

FOCUSED ON HELPING AUTHORS

Our 3rd annual conference takes place live at the Academy Plaza Hotel, just off O’Connell Street (map,) in the literary heart of Dublin.

Our online elements include pre-conference session recordings on this site for all who sign up, as well as live video streams during the event, and session video recordings available all year. The conference Facebook group will also feature unique live immersive 360° Virtual Reality streams (headsets optional) and standard on screen video recordings.

Conference panel sessions will be recorded for you to watch when you want, and interact with by asking questions from anywhere in the world though our Facebook group.

Louise Phillips, author of four bestselling psychological crime thrillers, each shortlisted for Best Irish Crime Novel of the Year. Her second novel, THE DOLL’S HOUSE, won the award. She has won both the Jonathan Swift Award and the Irish Writers’ Center Lonely Voice platform.

Louise teaches crime fiction at the Irish Writers’ Centre in Dublin. She has also been a judge on the Irish panel for the EU Literary Award. Louise's site.


Conor Kostick, author of a series of successful fiction and non fiction titles. He is one of the most popular writing craft lecturers at the Irish Writers Center for many years. Conor teaches medieval history, and the history of the Crusades, at Trinity College, Dublin. He was president of the Irish jury for the EU Prize for Literature, 2015.

Conor Kostick’s awards include fellowships from the Irish Research Council and the University of Nottingham, and in 2015, the British Academys Rising Star Engagement Award. Conor was twice chairperson of the Irish Writers’ Union.

Laurence O'Bryan, has been training authors in digital marketing for 4 years and is also a published author. Laurence was published by Harper Collins globally and by ten other publishers in translation. The Istanbul Puzzle, won the Southern California Writers Conference Best Novel Award in 2007.
